As is true for many others, I suppose, I have dabbled now and then in the world of investments, usually with no great success.
Recently, along with some friends, I decided to set up an investment club to try to have another go at making some money out of the stock markets.
None of us are wealthy but we hope that we can make a reasonable return by investing a small monthly sum on a regular basis over an extended period.
We did a little research [mainly on the internet] and discovered that there are already many similar investment clubs in the United Kingdom as well as elsewhere in the world. You can find some of them here.
We also discovered an organisation called PROSHARE which has produced a manual to help investment clubs to get started with the minimum of difficulty.
In September of this year we decided to start the club which we have called "The Fair Shares Investment Club" and we will use this page to keep you in touch with how we get on.
