WELLCOME TO

THE WORLD OF VINTAGE & VETERAN
CYCLES CLUBS
This is MY web site about
vintage cycles. The clubs and the vintage cycles and the riders
in the UK. People in the UK love collecting Car Trains Planes
and now Cycles. This site is about the vintage cycle clubs and
some of the events they run. There is a National Association for
Veteran Cycle Clubs the NAVCC for the UK. This page has lots of
links to my pages on these clubs and there rallies. There is also
a page with links to other sites on old bikes. I am updating this
site sorry for any lost links.
Thomas Henry Young at the age
of 94 has passed away in the Peterborough District Hospital on
the 17th of September 2004after a short illness.
...

The saving of vintage
cycles was done piecemeal till in 1951 a group of like minded
cycle collectors started a club in Coventry. This club was followed
by other clubs. Then a national body the National Association
of Vintage Cycle Clubs was formed on the 8th April 1956. This
has a rally held in turn by one of the clubs each year. There
are now at least 10 club's in the UK and now more all over the
world.

There are also some railway
pages on this site ( links on pages in site) if you want a
change from cycles. I have put some links to these pages here.
I am making a large site on railways, which is getting a little
to large and taking for ever, and I will place a link here later.
