Billingham Town Council Steering Committee was disbanded in April 2007 having achieved its objective of the successful establishment of a Town Council for Billingham.

The Town Council met for the first time in May 2007.

Regrettably, none of its members have since offered any thanks or recognition for the considerable amount of work carried out by Billingham Town Council Steering Committee between 2002 and 2007.
