The portrait

All portraits are drawn on Master Quality, smooth, acid free paper.
Frames and mattes (borders) are not included in the price. I guess you would prefer to choose your own!
The standard portrait paper size is 300mm x 400mm (approx. 11¾" x 15¾").
I don't usually include background details unless they are absolutely necessary.
Specific details can be removed from the portrait (skin blemishes etc.) but you have to let me know about these when your enquiry is submitted.

Enquiries & ordering

Either use the e-mail link to contact me or fill in the enquiry/order form on the "Order" page and submit it to give me an idea of what you're looking for. I can then respond with price quotes for your specific requirements. For your privacy, if you choose not to proceed your details will not be retained.

Payment

Payment is by UK cheque or postal order, by International Money Order (IMO), Western Union money transfer or via PayPal for overseas orders. Click on the PayPal logo above to register with them, it's easy, secure and free! Other methods of payment can be accepted by prior arrangement.
No payment is required until the portrait is finished. I'll e-mail you a scanned preview of the portrait and you decide if you want to purchase it. If you decide to buy, the portrait will be posted when payment has been received and cleared.

Delivery

Postage is extra and the cost depends your location. Portraits will usually be posted within four weeks of receipt of photograph.
If your photo was sent by regular mail it will be returned with the finished portrait.

Photo wish list

The quality of the finished portrait is related to the quality of the photo submitted. A few things to bear in mind when you choose a photo to submit:-
Clear, in focus close-ups are best.
Faces in the photo should be at least 40mm (1½") wide and must be in focus.
I should be able to see the whites of the eyes.
The subject should ideally be lit from the front and to one side.
Photos taken with a flash tend to lack depth and detail.

The small print

If your photo is sent via regular mail I can't accept responsibility for any damage or loss while it is in transit. I recommend that a duplicate photo is sent. Alternatively, send the photo by registered (insured) mail.
I reserve the right to decline an order due to inappropriate subject, workload or if the quality of the photo is poor.
