The base where the obelisk stood and the inlet from the chalybeate spring, last used, according to available records on 22nd June 1978, where a celebration took place with a wench serving water from the spring and a feast took place, marking the 200th anniversary of the donation of a stone table.

The opening to the site, with the two remaining posts from the seating area surrounding the basin (behind), beyond which is the site of the old Temple. There are many reports that the site was planned to be restored to it's former glory, one of which was to move the spring basin and obelisk to the Walks in Kings Lynn, obviously, no one was that interested in restoring it, although it was agreed to leave it in situ, as it meant more where it was.
