Explanation…Printout of the Combustion Products Analyser using Tempest 50 with Nox upgrade.Combustion gases are predominantly CO2 (Carbon Dioxide), N2 (Nitrogen, inert) and H2 (Water Vapour). Measuring Combustion Products will give information on the running efficiency and CO/CO2 ration. Traditionally the CO/CO2 ratio has been used to establish safe combustion and efficiency in the Industrial Heating Sector. Today's domestic central heating boilers are extremely sophisticated using CPU technology, central processing unit, on PCBs, printed circuit boards. Using this technology boiler manufacturers can achieve the minimum efficiency levels required (80%) qualifying for a CE mark. By law since 1996 all gas appliances sold in the UK must carry the CE mark. This is in line with the Single European Market directive on gas appliances introduced in 1992. The British Standard 5258 permitted maximum ratio of carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide in combustion products must not exceed greater than 0.02. The Institution of Gas Engineers and British Gas require a full service if the CO/CO2 ratio is greater than 0.004. Model of Combustion Analyser. Room temperature. |
