STATSMAN

The STATSMAN organisation combines the records and expertise of the UK's two leading Basketball Statistical sources. John Atkinson and Roger Yapp have provided statistics services to the English Basketball Association and Basketball League from the inception of the modern National League in 1972. In addition either individually or collectively the pair have provided Stats services for many European and International competitions and events.

The STATSMAN organisation has compiled an unparalleled archive of every aspect of the modern game, including full records for every player, every official, every coach and every game in the modern National League; complete research and analysis of the England international programme from Day 1; and full analysis of Olympic and European competitions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

STATKINSON

For over 30 years John Atkinson has compiled an unparalleled archive of basketball records covering every aspect of the sport in the UK and throughout the world. STATKINSON has worked at every level of the sport, from Schools basketball through to European, International and Olympic competition. In addition STATKINSON has developed a range of techniques to record game statistics and has worked with many Coaches and television companies to assist with game analysis, and the development of meaningful "Match Facts" for the armchair viewer.

PLAY-ZONE

Roger Yapp started compiling records for National League competition in 1982, and since then has worked with the EBBA and Basketball League providing a weekly service collating and analysing games and producing "Top 20" listings and boxed stats. The PLAY-ZONE organisation has developed several innovative techniques to collect and collate game statistics, and pioneered the use of computer-based stats systems in the UK. Working closely with the several leading Clubs and Coaches,  League Statisticians, TV companies, and International teams PLAY-ZONE has also provided Stats Crews to cover all major competitions and events in the UK for a number of years including the World Student Games in Sheffield and the Women's Wheelchair World Championships.
