Track type: Enduro riding/training on open farmland with small wooded areas.

How to get there:
From the North: From the Al or Ml join onto the M25. Head clockwise or anti-clockwise (your choice) and then follow the directions 'from the south' (below).
From the South: Exit the M25 at Junction 7 onto the M23. From there join the A264 at Junction 10 and then hit the B2028 toward Crawley Down. At Turners Hill join the B2110 eastbound and Ade's school is on the right.
From the East: Take the All which will lead onto the Mil. Stay on the Mil until Junction 6 and head clockwise round the M25 until you reach Junction 7 onto the M23. From there join the A264 at Junction 10 and then hit the B2028 toward Crawley Down. At Turners Hill join the B2110 eastbound and Ade's school is on the right.
From the West: Take the M4 until you reach the M25 at Junction 4B. You're looking to head anticlockwise until you reach Junction 7 and then it's the same as from the south.

It's hard to believe that this circuit has been around for almost twenty years and has seen many changes in that time. Initially it used to go up and down the hillside and into the area that is now the car park. Now though, this hard packed track is carved into the hillside which incorporates long straights and variations of step up jumps, tabletops, whoops. Quite a fast circuit to ride but very good for improving cornering, corner speed and braking. Recently the owners have been mixing sand into the ground to help make it more rideable in the wet.

Track type: Intermediate and above, big jumps can be intimidating for novices. Used by top GP riders for testing and general practice. The track is also available for hire for training schools (call for availability). Toilets available and catering only on Sunday (at present). Free jet wash on site.

How to get there: Possibly the easiest track to get to in the country. Make your way to the MS. If heading southbound take exit 6. The track is immediately on your left hand side. If you are M5 northbound, exit junction 6. Turn right and the track will be in front of you. You can't miss it.

Spike went here in February. It was
wet, cold and miserable but the people were friendly, the marshals kept it safe and the

Track type: Cross country track set out over downs type terrain with big hill. Plus two enduro tracks, one of 5 miles and one of 10+. Kiddies track. Access road to car park is widely acknowledged as most technical section there, beware if in posh car.
Opens: Sundays only, 10am - 4pm, plus organised track days - also venue for four major enduros a year.
Costs: £15 including jet wash (kiddies £7.50)
How to get there:
From the North: Take the M40 and then join the A34 at Junction 9, heading south. Head west on the A4130 turning onto the A417 at Harwell. Follow east to Blewbury and carry on toward Streatley. Take the track signposted to 'The Downs' which is opposite Halfpenny Lane (which goes to Moulsford) and the Cholsey road. Follow this track which turns into the Fair Mile and as the ground opens up the course is on the right through the gate
From the South: From the M25 join the M4 at Junction 15. Exit at junction 12 (Theale) and head for Pangbourne then onto the A417 to Streatley, track is about three miles out of Streatley.
From the East: Along the M4 again, off at Theale then as above.
From the West: Along the IM4 again turning off at junction 13, north on A34 then right at Chilton heading for Upton and onto the A4I7, head south about one mile to The Downs'.

Track type: Loamy motocross track is regularly graded and consists of many tabletops and sweeping corners.

How to get there:
From the North: Take the Ml and join the M42 from Junction 23A. That will take you onto the M5 towards Bristol. After that join the M4 eastbound from Junction 20 and go one junction up to join the M32 off of Junction 19 which soon becomes the A38. Follow that until you come to the B3135, keeping an eye out for the sign to the track.
From the South: Off the M25 you want Junction 15 for the M4 westbound. Stay on that until you reach Junction 19 which will take you onto the M32 which leads onto the A38. After that look out for the B3135 heading for Cheddar and Priddy where the track is signposted.
From the East: You'll need the All onto the M11, and from there you want to pick up the M25 anti-clockwise until you reach the M4 at Junction 15. Head westbound through Berkshire until you reach the M32 at Junction 19. That road becomes the A38 which will take you down to the B3135 heading towards Cheddar and Priddy, where the track is signposted.
From the West: M4 eastbound through Wales until you reach Junction 19 and from there it's the A38 and then B3135 towards Cheddar and Priddy. Track is signposted.

Track Type: This hillside circuit is fast, flowing and technical all at the same time, and the layout incorporates many different styles of jumps from uphill and downhill doubles and triples, as well as banked turns. The track rides superbly, and is chalky and hard packed. A great venue for top riders as well as beginners, with changes already in the pipeline to include a supercross track. There is also a separate beginners circuit for those who feel they are not quite ready for the main track. All practice days are covered by First Aid personnel as well as a spares van and catering facilities.
Opening Times: Currently open Saturdays and Sundays 10-4.
Cost: £5 per year joining fee then £18 per rider (novices included. Novices have unlimited access to beginners track where as intermediate riders are restricted to 20 minute sessions).
How to get there: From the A303 turn off at the roundabout signposted Amesbury and Salisbury A345. Stay on the A345 through Amesbury and continue for about another 2 miles When you see the runway for Boscombe Down airfield take your second left after the end of the airfield into Down Barn Lane and the track is a quarter of a mile on the left hand side. From Salisbury, take the A345 from Salisbury Ring Road and carry straight on over a couple of mini roundabouts and one larger roundabout. After about three miles you will come to a set of traffic lights at a crossroads with The High Post Inn and a garage on your left. Carry straight on for a few hundred yards and you will see a sign on your left warning of low flying aircraft. A few hundred yards after the sign you will need to turn right into Down Barn Lane. The track will be a quarter of a mile on the left.

Track type: The circuit at Finningley has been around for quite a few
years and is a well-established motocross practice track. Local race meetings are also run
here and in the '90s staged several rounds of the British championship. The surface is
sandy with man-made tabletop and speed jumps and is graded on a regular basis. Training
schools are also run here by the circuit owner Ed Bradley, as well as Team Green Kawasaki
and The British Motocross Training Academy with Rikki Priest and Paul Malin. It is also
favoured by many top flight pro riders such as Dobb and Noble of RWJ Honda, CAS Honda and
Rob Hooper's Suzuki squad. There is a separate kiddies track suitable for beginners. There
is strictly no riding in the paddock, and if you don't have a helmet you don't ride.
Opening Times: Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 10-4, with the exception of race weekends or motocross schools. Always call for weather conditions or availability.

Track type: This is a jump oriented motocross circuit, very much hard pack, almost like concrete in the summer. Great fun, great location, nice people but a bit tough for beginners. Worth building up your skills for.

How to get there:
From the North: Take the Al onto the A14 at Huntingdon. Then you want to turn south at the new services just after St Ives heading for Boxworth. Through Boxworth, take the last left' turn as you leave town (there's a pub and bus stop on the corner. Follow road for about 1 mile. Track will be signposted on the left.
From the South:.From the M25 join the Mil, turn onto the A14 at Cambridge heading north, take the Boxworth turn-off at the new services.
From the East: This is the east. A14 from Cambridge, turn off for Boxworth.
From the West: From the M6 join the A14, follow south past Huntingdon and St Ives, turn south for Boxworth..

Essex Off Road ExperienceAddress: Wealdhall Farm, Wealdhall Lane, Thornwod Common, Essex.
Track type: Enduro track. 4km long. Featuring woods, two tabletop jumps, two small jumps, hills, drop-offs and often some muddy going. Good for novices through to experts.
Opening times: Everyday between 10am and 5pm (or dusk if earlier).
Costs: Weekends: Adults £20, Juniors £15. Weekdays: Adults £15, Juniors £10.
How to get there:
From the North: This track is close to the M25/M11 intersection. If coming down the Ml or Al M join M25 and travel east to Ml 1 intersection (J27) and head to junction 7. Exit and head south-west on B1393, signposted Epping. Follow for 1.2 miles. Just after speed camera take the next left turn, which is Wealdhall Lane. After half a mile you will cross back over the M25. The entrance to the track is a further 250yards on the left.
From the South: Head for the M25 follow east to J27, Mil, and then as above.
From the East: You're either on the M!l already in which case exit atJ7, or on the A12 in which case it's one junction up from the A12 intersection with the M25. Then as above.
From the West: M3, M4 or M40 to the M25 head clockwise around the M25 to J27 then as above.

Address:Golding Barn Raceway
is located between Upper Seeding and Henfield near to Small Dole, and can be found just
off the A2037.Track type:Hard packed circuit with quite a few jumps from speed jumps to tabletops. The circuit is partly hilly and great for improving your hard packed riding skills and braking techniques. Although some of the jumps are quite big, it is designed with safety in mind and caters for all types of rider, from club level to the seasoned pro. As well as being open for general practice, the circuit is also available for private hire for groups of friends to practice together or for training schools with a trainer. There is also a new practice track which is marked and roped for junior riders.
Opening times: For the remainder of February and throughout March the circuit will be open for as many Sundays and Wednesdays as possible, but April through to December things will be back to normal when the track opens on Wednesday 10am - 4pm and the first Sunday of each month, weather permitting. From the South: Get on the M25 and join the Mil from Junction 27 Then hit the Al 1 which will join onto the A14 and then turn off to rejoin the Mil again. From there you're looking for the Al 122.
From the East: A47 then Al 122.
From the West: Take the M6 and join the M69, then the Ml (J21) heading North and then the A47 into Leicester. Stay on the A47 until you reach the A1122.

Track type: Extremely hard packed motocross track - a small tabletop and stepdown make it good for beginners.
Opens: Saturdays and Sundays 10am-6pm. Phone to confirm track is open, don't just show up!

How to get there:
From the North: Take the Al or Ml and join the M25 clockwise. Cross the tolls and take Junction 1A and get onto the A206 heading towards. From there same as from the south.
From the South: Join the M25 and turn off at Junction 1A (just before the tolls) heading towards Erith on the A206. Go left at the first roundabout, straight across the second roundabout, then right at the third roundabout. As soon as you go right you're looking for the first turning on the left which is Joyce Green Lane, a small country road. The track is situated on the left about a minute's drive down, you can't miss it.
From the East: First you want the All which will take you onto the Mil southbound. From there pick up the M25 clockwise at Junction 27. Go over the QE2 bridge and pass the tolls, from there same as from the south.
From the West: You're going to need the M4, and just keep on that until you hit the M25 anti-clockwise at Junction 15. Turn off at Junction 1A and from there same as the south again.

Mallory

Track type: This is a new track situated inside the famous Mallory Park circuit, it's a hard pack motocross track with modest jumps making it suitable for beginners. There's a small novice training area too.
Open hours: Sundays 10am-5pm Track also available to hire Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

How to get there:
From the North: Take the Ml and turn off at Junction 21. Turn right at the roundabout onto the B4114 then you want to go right again at the next roundabout which leads onto the B582. From there you want to pick up the A47 and look out for the signs to Mallory Park.
From the South: Same as above.
From the East: You can pick pup the A47 from anywhere as far west as Norfolk, and when you get into Leicester just stay on the ring road, you'll pick up signs to Mallory Park just short of the Ml (see from the North).
From the West: From the M6 turn off at Junction 2 to join the M69, and from there you're looking for the B4069 which is off Junction 2 toward Hinckley at which point you want the A47 and from there Mallory Park is signposted.

Track type: This famous motocross facility has been a part of our history for more than forty years and up until the back end of 2003 was looking a bit run down. That was until Johnny Hamilton was let loose with a machine and his track building skills to bring the venue back up to scratch. Although some of the old circuit is still in existence, the jumps have been re-vamped and increased in size quite considerably, and the old hills in the valley have had a face-lift to keep the flow of the circuit going. The hilly circuit is sandy with a mixture of tabletops and speed jumps that have been built with imported dirt to help maintain a firm take off. The whoop section has been built in the same way. The race circuit (which has just been described) is open for practice occasionally (subject to race meetings) so most of the time you will be riding the practice track which has also undergone surgery. Used regularly by top GP teams for testing. There are catering facilities and toilets on site as well as first aid should the need arise, and the venue is available for hire (call for details). STRICTLY NO DOGS ALLOWED.

How to get there: From the north (midlands) take the A34 via Newbury, until the M3. Turn right (southbound) onto M3 towards Winchester, Portsmouth, Southampton. Pick up M27 westbound (Bournemouth, Southampton). Take A31 to Ringwood. Just past Ringwood Matchams will be signposted off to the left. At bottom of slip road take first left and follow for 3-4 miles. Matchams Park Leisure (Hum Lane) will be found on the right hand side, and the circuit is within this complex.

West Row, Suffolk, nr. MildenhallTrack type: Man made sand circuit, with jumps and banked turns. Used for race meetings as well as practice sessions. The circuit is always in good condition and maintained on a regular basis. There is also a permanent cafe area on the premises overlooking the track, and a purpose built power wash area for those of you who don't want to wash the bike when you get home. The circuit was designed by British GP star Carl Nunn and his father Stuart, who is also the track coach. Yamaha's are available to test and First Aiders are on hand if needed. Also included is third party insurance.
Opening times: Sundays in the winter. Thursdays all year round 10am - 4pm
How to get there: Take the AH up to the roundabout junction that meets the A1065. Turn Left towards Mildenhall. Pick up signs for Mildenhall Stadium and West Row, and the circuit is just before the Stadium on the left hand side.

Track type: The circuit is 1.3 miles long and is a cool 12m wide. The type of terrain is nice and loamy, boasting various types of jumps and drop offs. There is a separate auto track with its own start straight, whoop section and tabletop. For beginners, there is a separate circuit, so you can learn at your own pace. The motocross track is graded daily. There is a hard standing pit area, toilets, catering van, motocross and spares shop and a jet wash area. S.A.C.U Approved
Opening Times: Winter: Saturday and Sunday 12 - 5pm.
Cost: Mandatory membership: Family £20, Adults £15, Juniors £10. After that prices are Junior £1, Adults £2 per day. Photographs are required for membership cards.
How to get there:
From the North: Well, there's not too many north of here, but if you are y ou're probably coming down the A9 then the M90 from Perth. Then take the M90, then about 6miles north of the Forth Road Bridge, take the A92 Glenrothes / Kirkcaldy road. Approximately 4 miles east, take the B981 to Lochgelly. At the slip turn left. At first roundabout turn right and head along past the front of Andrew's factory. Turn right at the end of the road. From the South: Probably something like M74, then A702 from j.13, then the A720 Edinburgh ringroad round to the A90 and then as above. From the East: East of here - that's oil rig country, you'll need a helicopter. From the West: Must be talking Glaswegians here. M8 then, followed by M9 up to the Forth Road Bridge then as above.

Track type: There are five tracks at the facility: a sandy motocross track; a dirt motocross track; an 80cc track; a junior track, and a 3km trail. There's also a 4x4 course, watersports and a radio-controlled car circuit.
Opening times: Wednesdays 1.00 pm - 5.00pm. Weekends 9.30am - 5.00pm.Costs: £20 joining fee per annum. £20 pro-track admission, £15 juniors.
How to get there:
From the North: Travelling south on M6 to J32, turn off and head west on M55 to Jl. Head into Preston until you to get to the A5085 , turn right onto it and continue until you signs for the A583, at this point you have to go back on yourself, heading back into Preston. Turn right off A583 onto Nelson Way, which leads you to Wallend Road and the MX track.
From the South: M6 north to J31, turn left on A59 into Preston, skirt the town centre by using A5085, then use directions above.
From the East: Travel on M65 until it meets M6, then use instructions as from south.

Yarra Park Industrial Estate, Station Road, Ecclesfield, Sheffield. Track Type: Made from around 100,000 tonnes of soil, this 40,000sq.ft indoor motocross track consists of tabletops, a whoop section, double jumps and banked berm corners. They cater for all riders of all skills and ages in a good safe environment, and with the early nights drawing in, the car park is both floodlit and secure. Refreshments are also available on site. The track is designed to ACU specifications by specialist Neil Mason. Phase 2 of the development is currently under way to add another 40,000 sq. feet to create the largest permanent indoor motocross facility, where there will also be a 500 seat grandstand for public viewing, as well shower block, spares and repair centre and a motocross shop.

How to get there:Sheffield Indoor Motocross is easily accessible and is just two minutes from Ml Junction 35. From the north: Exit J35, take the last exit down Cowley Hill A629. Take your first road on your left, Nether Lane. Follow Nether Lane to the end. At traffic lights turn left onto The Common (A6135). Take the first left between Morrisons and the police station. SIMX is about 200 yards up Station Road on the Yarra Park Ind. Estate. From the South: As above but take your first exit on the left down Cowley Hill (A629)

Track type: Excellent land for enduro riders to practice all their skills but beware - facilities are non-existent and there are no tracks marked. Not recommended for novices or children.

From the North: Take the M6 and then join the M54 at Junction IDA. From there you want the A5, the A548 and then the A483. Finally you want the A44 and head to Rhayader (ask from there).
From the South: From the M25 join the M4 at Junction 15. Then itis the A48, A40 and then the A470.
From the East: From A14 you want the M6. Take Junction 10A and then the M54. After that you need to take the A5, the A458 and then the A470.

Track type: Excellent motocross track pretty much like Foxhill set in valley so good climbs and descents with jumps, plus tabletops. Loamy soil conditions. Separate autos track.
Opening: Track opens on October 15, will be open through November. Sundays only, 10am to 4pm.
Costs: Adults £20, Juniors £17, Minis on auto track £10.
How to get there:
From the North: South down the Al, joining the M62 at Pontefract traveling east, then onto the M18, head south to M180, then east again until j4. Head for Brigg. Drive through Brigg on the A1084 heading south. At Caistor there will be a crossroad, turn left. Follow the road for a good couple of miles, the track will appear on your left, access is off the lane on the left.
From the South: Al (M) north, turn onto the M18 at Doncaster, then onto the M180, then as for from the North.

Washbrook Farm MX Practice

How to get there:
From the North: Take the Al onto the A14. Then hit the A47 at Peterborough going east, followed by the A141 south toward Chatteris. Then youire looking for the B1093, go through Doddington and Washbrook is on your right.
From the South: Get on the M25 and join the Mil from Junction 27. Then hit the A14 for Huntingdon, and then the A141 eastbound (towards Huntingdon). From there you want to the B1093 for Doddington which will come up on your left.
From the East: Take the A47, then the A141, then the B1093.
From the West: Take the M6 east until you join the A14, stay with it to Huntingdon then join the A141. After that you want the B1093.

Address: WSX Arena, Weston Euro Park, Winterstoke Road, Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset, BS24 9AB.
Track type: Full-on indoor supercross track set in 1,000-seater spectator stadium. The minimum track width is 6.75m, and most corners are banked high. The track also features an eight-jump double/triple section, 64ft triples, whoops, and a banana TT finish - not for the feint hearted.

How to get there:
From the North: South on the M5 (obviously) to junction 21. Turn west onto A370 signposted Weston. Drive straight over three roundabouts, then, at the fourth, turn left down Winterstoke Road. Take second left marked: Weston Euro Park, drive (carefully - it isn't a race!) through the natural chicane in the road and you'll see the arena on your right. Check out: www.westonsx.co.uk for a map. From the South: Take M5 north, to junction 21, before turning left onto A370. Then as from the north.
From the East: Probably easiest route is to pick up the M4, then get onto the M5 heading south, to junction 21, before following directions from south.
From the West: Purchase a small boat from a local fisherman in Cardiff, cross the mouth of Severn and head for Weston. Land at the beach, ditch the boat and hire a car. Get on the A370 and stay on it until you get to Winterstoke Rd. At roundabout turn right. (Then figure what to do about a bike...)

Track type: 60 acres; good long all-weather motocross practice track, man-made jumps, sand based. Separate track for beginners and juniors.
Opens: Most Saturdays and Sundays. Gates open from 10am to 4pm.

Facilities: Rider tuition courses by Ceoff Mayes. Cafe, power washers, WCs, paramedics on site.
How to get there: From the North: Take the Al onto the A14, join • the All and then get on the B1085.
From the South: Once on the M25 take Junction 27 to get on the Mil heading North - which makes up the majority of the journey. Pull off at Junction 9 and take the A14 which will lead you onto the All, and from there hit the B1085.
From the East: From the A14 take the B1085
-couldn't be simpler. If you're coming from the Norwich area, take the All to join the A14
and then take the B1085.
From the West: Take the M6 and grab Junction 19 to join the A14. From there take the Al 1 and then the B1085.

The Yamaha Off-road Experience

Track type: Mid Wales splendour, enduro heaven, varying from mountain trails to single track plus modest motocross track.
Opens: This is Ceraint Jones's place, they specialise in off-road tuition/courses (eg. two-day enduro courses), but practice riding can also be arranged. Phone to book.

How to get there:
From the North: Take the M6 and join the M54 at Junction 10A. From there you need to head onto the A5, then the A548 and the A483. Lastly you take the A470 and then the B4518.
From the South: From the M25 take Junction 15 and join the M4. From there you want the A48, the A40, and the A470 before finally heading onto the B4518.
From the East: Get on the A14 and join the M6. Then you want Junction IDA which will lead you onto the M54. Then join the A5, followed by the A458 and A483. From there hit the A470 onto the B4518.
From the West: Chances are you live in Wales and you know how to get there anyway...
