This well known and much enjoyed comedy comes to Highbury, starting off the Season on a lighthearted note, as we watch Adrian Mole putting his adolescent thoughts down on paper, with his observations on himself and the lives of his family and friends.

DARK OF THE MOON by Howard Richardson/William Berney
Regarded by Americans as a minor classic, this is the international play of the Season, one of humour, satire and pathos. A dramatisation of 'The Ballard of Barbara Allen', when a 'Witch Boy', John, tries to become human in order to marry Barbara Allen. The play takes place in the Smokey Mountains and depicts the superstition and ignorance of the people.

DANIEL AND THE DRAGON AND THE AUNTIE FROM HELL by Rod Dungate
The WORLD PREMIER of this delightful play achieves the three 'E's with ease:- Entertain, Educate and Enthrall.
Specially commissioned for Highbury using our Lottery Grant, professional playwright, Rod Dungate, has constructed a work suitable for all children and in his own words: - "The child within us all".
So, join young Daniel, Edmund the Dragon, a couple of comic henchmen called Stinkie and Dribble!! and others on a fantasy story with a few twists in the tail.

ONCE A CATHOLIC by Mary O'Malley
Very funny, in an irreverent way, about the interaction between Teacher Nuns, a Venerable Music Master, four senior pupils and two young men. Catholics are amused to recognise themselves and their lives in this play.

LADIES WHO LUNCH by Tudor Gates.
This is the BT Sponsored Play. It is described as a 'criminal
comedy'.
Three ladies with successful businessmen husbands use their inside
knowledge to boost the incomes of their charities, with no little
laughter and a 'spot of surprise'.
The first night of the play will occur in the company of nearly
100 societies nationwide all playing under the BT banner.
