The GHQ evolved from the early Loutrel, a well made but low powered engine. Build quality of GHQ's was often lacking, some having little or no compression. The motor could be purchased in ready made or kit form, piston fits with kit units being very poor. Despite poor internal fits, some features are good - the timer arm has a unique twist lock feature and the timer assembly is easy to adjust with substantial points. With a little reworking and oily fuel, they can be made to run. Don't expect much power!
