James Clift occupied 15 small fields forming a farm south east of
Codsall village. The fields lay ajoining and to the south of the new railway
just being build to the south of Codsall. The fields, totalling 27 acres:3:14,
were mainly owned jointly by Mary Salmon and Joseph Wollaston. His house and
one other field were rented from one William Shaw. There is a sketch map
in the file.

[24] 1864: Buried at Codsall Parish Church. James was age 67 and was living
at Penkridge at the time of his death.
