Brampton Manor Secondary Modern School
Do you recognize anyone in the photograph. Names listed below - let me know if there are any errors! This was taken in our first year - hence the frightened expressions and knee length socks. There were a few changes to the class over the five years we were together - if you know of any new names let me know

So where are we all now? I have been in contact by email with Joan Durrant, Susan Bateman, Susan Saunders, Anita Morden, Helen Yearsley, Denise Murphy, and Lesley Green. I have met Glynis Hart at reunions for New City Road Primary. (I am referring to all by maiden names - despite getting married I decided to keep my surname). I am now a special needs teacher living in Stockport, Cheshire. If you are an ex-pupil of this class and want me to record a few notes about you on this page - let me know. Of course you can always use the excellent Friends Reunited site.
Just to get the ball rolling on any memories you may have - who remembers
Miss Walters and those 78rpm records we had to learn to type to (and those awful Remmington typewriters with tab keys you literally pegged into position)?
Long afternoons doing "The Art of English" with Miss Morrison (why did we never work out what it was that she kept 'in a jar by the door'?)
Cutting open a bulls's eye in biology.
Cockroaches in the glue in art (and in the flour in domestic science - now known as "food technology")
Going to the Lake District on a geography field trip (was anyone there when the teacher Sandra Burtenshawe broke her arm?)
Any more memories - send 'em to me : mailto:ann.stewardson@tesco.net
