Home is the place that I call mine, the bank calls profit and Felix calls a playground...

So where is home...Twickenham,which hangs off the Western edge of London. Famous as the home of English Rugby and errm that's it I guess. But fame isn't every thing and what it does boast is the River Side access to Ol' Father Thames, a not too great a hop to two Royal Parks and a short train journey into the center of London. I've been here 5½ years now and it's whilst it's always been a nice area there are at last signs that Twickenham itself is starting to pick up a bit and throwing off the stigma of being Richmonds poor relation. It now boasts some pretty good restaurants and pubs, although the addition of a decent club would be nice as having to stagger off home at 11:30 is bit of a bind when you only start the evening at 9:00 after a days work. I feel this might be bit of a non-starter though as the town center itself is fairly residential, oh well - I guess it's healthier that way.

I guess one of the pluses of that home ownership thing is the opportunity to make your own space, which opens up interests that you'd never have considered before. I my case this definately the garden which over the years has evolved from a somewhat desolate yard to somewhere that I hope is attractive but more importantly for me is somewhere to relax and unwind, that is when it's not being worked on to try and maintain that attractive bit. Suprisingly most of what has gone in has somehow managed to thrive, even more so as the last couple of years have seem the place become bit of a slug and snail fest. the only real disappointment is that delphiniums have become bit of a now starter, a big shame as I think they give a garden not just height but heightwith colour.
Anyway it's surviving so come take a peek.......The Garden
