New Allotment Site at Edgworth

Edgworth Methodist Church grounds had become overgrown and an eye-sore in the village.  With the help of a grant and a great deal of voluntary labour, this has now all changed.

Ten allotment plots have been provided for the community, and these were soon snapped up.  A seating area with bench and flowers has been created, and paths cleared and made good round the grounds.

The 10 allotment workers are looking forward to planning and digging their plots, and enjoying the first crop of veg, fruit, flowers, etc.  All are invited to an official Open Day in August and the harvest Festival service in September.  This has been an enjoyable and extremely worthwhile project, and it really is a before and after scene.
