Melbourne Road Methodist Church is situated in the Deane area of Bolton. What we
lack in numbers we certainly make up for in enthusiasm. In recent years many people from
overseas have joined the church and found a welcome here.

present church was opened in January 1954, but as far back as 1881, somewhere in the
Willows Lane area a group of people were practising Methodist worship in what was then
called the ‘Preaching Room’ |
