Jonathon Dalby won the Greater Manchester indoor championship at Manchester Indoor Arena at Platt Fields on 4th February 2001. He won the under 13s Shot Putt with a throw of 10.14m. He is going on to represent Greater Manchester at the area indoor championship at Wigan on March 3rd.

Also going there is David Proctor who won the 6-lap event for under 15 boys. Ian Roberts was 3rd in the same event.

Sam Martin came 3rd in the final of the 3 lap under 11 boys race.

Kaylee Bowden came 3 rd in the under 15 girls Shot Putt.
