This short break is for people who want to understand how landscape is interpreted: how can we be sure, for example, that the Scottish valleys were carved out by glacier ice; where is the evidence that shows the ice was thousands of feet thick?  And, long before the ice came, what do the rocks themselves tell us about the Borders' long journey from south of the Equator to its present day position.
