Oh, go on then... only Leigh428 asked for it but what the heck: the Kylie Mini is on the Other page ready to download. Do you overtake it or do you just follow it... hmmm... ;-)
Only other change is that I fixed the preview picture of the Kadett Wheel pack the other day. Well... I'm happy about it! Back to the Cortinas now.

22/05/04
Well... I was supposed to be working on the Mk4 and Mk2 Cortinas, but Leigh428's "avatar car" inspired me to create the "Kylie Minogue Mini"! See it on the Previews page. (Takes me back to the first ever preview on this site... the Natalie Portman NSX. Hey: this is supposed to be a site for Historic Touring Cars! Ah, well: SCGT seems to be at the end of it's life so we're all just having fun now.) It might get released, if there's any interest.
Oh, I've changed the page buttons at the bottom of the site, too. (Just felt like it!) Plus I've updated the link to Race Sim Central with the new address.

17/04/04
An update, but not one I planned! Thanks to the guys on the RaceSimCentral forums for pointing out my error on the Kadett B: I hadn't noticed that the HLA.VRL file called on the headlight BMP as well as the normal game ones, so the blank and Castrol cars only worked if AJS' original was there. Either download the updated ZIPs from the Others page or hex-edit the HLA.VRL yourself, if you know how to do that. (Rename KAD1LIT to K001LIT for the blank car and K021LIT for the Castrol car.) Apologies to everyone who has downloaded these cars: be assured that I am very embarrassed about it!

09/04/04
Well... about time too: here is an update! I've removed the link to Renegades as they have moved and I haven't joined the new group yet.
Now, to more serious business: ages ago AJS sent me an Opel Kadett B Rallye to make a VEH for, but he never released it. He has kindly given me permission to upload it to my site, so go to the Previews page to view AJS's original paint job together with a blank I have made and a quick fictional Zakspeed car. (Only the saloon version was actually raced, as far as I can see: this version was rallied.) On the Others page you can download all three cars and on the Misc page you can get an animated wheel pack and a sound pack. The blank car comes complete with layered templates created with Paint Shop Pro 7: either use them or the BMPs and show AJS and I what you can come up with! (NB: this car uses BMPs too large for Voodoo cards, if you want a low res' version, please e-mail me.)
Also on the Previews page is a shot of my soon to be released Mk4 Cortina set... silly but fun! Converted from the NFS original with the kind permission of it's creator, Evoness. I've painted four so far and the AI seem to love the VEH, which is near completion and all that is holding up release.
Also on the Previews page are screenshots of two conversions I have made from another of Evoness' models, this time a Mk2 Escort camper van. I have made it into a van and a pickup. (Never made by Ford, but I used to see quite a few home made ones when I was younger.) Again, this is just for fun. Both are BETA and about 60% done.
More stuff in the works, but then you all know me too well to hold your breath!

06/02/04
Er... I'm back: kinda. New job turned into another new job and ended up taking a break from SCGT. Did a load of work at the end of 2003 then a virus got through my defenses and damaged a load of my work... hence taking another break! I've been back on the forums a little lately, just in time to see Speedsims go down. At least there are many other places to go, so no worries. I have changed the home page accordingly. No new files yet, but watch this space as if I ever get motivated again there is tons of stuff in my half done projects file, including my first ever NFS conversions.

15/03/03
Woops... guess who hasn't updated his site lately? Most of the stuff I've been working on is fun projects not for release plus I started a new job. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! Anyway: to look at on the Preview page and to download from the Other page is the long overdue sister car to my Britax Downton Mini, based on my modified version of GEETi's model. As before, the Zip contains an extra MAS file for Voodoo users as this car has a 512x512 BMP in the normal MAS. Hope you like it!

05/02/03
The original preview of the Britax-Downton Mini has been replaced by two new ones, as the painting has been tidied up a little. There is also a preview of the low-res, voodoo compatible version. The car is now available on the Other page: the Zip file contains both versions. (Wasn't big enough to warrant a second Zip!)
Available on the Misc page is an updated VEH file pack for AJS's Rally Trophy conversion Minis, which came with VEHs from my first Minis. Instructions included.

04/02/03
Just a little update today: there is a preview available of a Britax-Downton Mini Cooper S. It and at least one team-mate will be released if there is enough interest for more Minis. (One of it's BMPs is 512x512 but there will be a low-res version for Voodoo users etc.)

31/01/03
A big Mini update today... if that isn't a contradiction! Five Minis are available on the Other page to download. One on Rob and Tommy's old model, two on GEETi's CMR2 conversion, one on my modified version of GEETi's car and the last on yet another modification of that car by me. (OK: I cut the bumpers off!) See pictures of them on the Previews page. There is a new animated wheel pack on the Misc page for cars 72 and 77.

17/01/03
Blimey... has it really been this long since I updated anything? Ouch! Sorry, all.
Well, as compensation please accept the two new Minis to be found on the Other page... previews available on the Previews page, of course! The rally car is a reworking of a Colin McRae 2 conversion done by GEETi. I have repainted it and added a version of my Mini VEH. The blue car is my first effort at modelling and the poor thing has been through both Z-Modeller and Modeller's Garage in my struggles to figure out what to do... it is based on the rally car so you can see what I have changed. Thanks to GEETi for all his work on the conversion and also to Bassguy for his help when I messed up the normals. Check out the Misc. page for an animated wheel pack for these new Minis.

21/10/02
I guess my new year's resolution will have to be "I will not try and do too many cars at once"... which is my excuse for why it has taken me so long to finish these! At least there is another one for you. Yes... located on the Other downloads page are four Minis... at last! There is a Preview of the new car, too. I hope you like them and I hope someone is actually reading this with Speedsims still down. There is also a Preview of my latest Mk1 Lotus Cortina, which will be released soon with the Clark car with an improved VEH file.
I am trying to learn Z-modeler whilst working on GEETi's Mini, which will be a good companion to the above ones. (The VEH file is already done, as is the re-modeling. Just got to sort out a problem with the shadow and I haven't a clue what I've done wrong!) Anglias and Porsches will be along sometime...
Lastly, on the Misc. page there is an animated wheel pack for the Minis.

14/9/02
Oops... another long gap in the procedings: sorry! Anyway, today there are eight new preview images uploaded, showing the seven of the cars I am working on that I have finished painting. All will be released as soon as I get the VEH files done to my satisfaction: so don't hold your breath! I've moved all the old previews to a separate page, linked at the bottom of the main Previews page. I'm assuming most of you have seen them all and it will speed up loading times for fellow modem users.

28/7/02
Another big update... by my standards, anyway!
On the Ford downloads page you will find three new Escorts: two 1973 Zakspeed cars and a sister car for my Broadspeed 1300GT. Previews on the Previews page, because it seemed the best place to put them. ;-)

20/7/02
Here's a few updates for ya!
First off, I have uploaded the No.54 Castrol Zakspeed RS2000 from 1974. (The black one I mentioned on the forums.) See it on the Previews page or download it on the Ford page. The ZIP file also contains revised VEH files for the three white cars, as I decided I had incorrect values for the engine inertia and friction settings. There is also a separate ZIP file containing replacement VEH files and instructions on how to use them or modify your existing ones available for download on the Misc page.
Also on the Previews page is an early preview of my 1973 ETC Zakspeed car. If anyone has any photos of it from any other angles, please let me know.

13/7/02
It's a big ol' day on the Screechin' Tyres site! I have finished the three white Zakspeed Escort RS2000s: previews and downloads can be found on the relevant pages. I hope you like them! Like the Anglias, they share some BMPs to help with the framerate, but they will all work fine without each other. On the Misc page you will find an animated wheel pack for these Escorts. (Thanks to Dave-B for the wheel!) Right: I have a few more of Uncle Henry's finest to churn out now... watch this space!

6/7/02
As requested by Dave-B, I am working on a Castrol Zakspeed RS2000 racer based on his Mk1 Escort model. See how it looks so far on the Previews page. I just need to figure out a few more decals (if I can find any better photos) and finalise the VEH (nearly there!) then three of these cars will be released. (One 1974 car and two 1975 cars.) I'll try and add one of the green 1973 Zakspeed cars I have one (poor) photo of to add a bit of colour!

29/6/02
Err... I've done one of my long pauses again, haven't I? Sorry!
Well, as compensation I have finally finished the VEH so that I can release my Broadspeed Escort!
Get it on the Ford page! Thanks again to Dave-B for the model.

24/4/02
Just a preview today, of my first re-paint of Dave-B's Mk1 Escort: see it on the Previews page.
I know, I know... another Broadspeed car! Other liveries are planned, honest! Just gotta sort out a VEH.

20/4/02
A third Ford Anglia is available today: screenshot on the Previews page. Download available from the Ford page.
Blimey... Screech is actually releasing more than one car every six months!!!

18/4/02
Another Ford Anglia is released today: see it on the Previews page and download it from the Ford page.
Also on the Previews page is a link to a little slide on GEETi's rally stage...
More stuff soon.

12/4/02
Just a quick update to say that the No.95 Broadspeed Anglia is available on the Ford downloads page,
for those of you who have been waiting for it. (Sorry for the delay.) A couple more to follow soon, plus I am working on a Mk1 Escort and a Mini... which is a hoot to drive!

11/3/02
Two preview shots are where you'd expect them to be of my first re-paint of Dave-B's Ford Anglia.
Based on his Broadspeed No.3 car, I have enhanced most of the BMPs and painted them too! Two more
Broadspeed cars, then we'll see what else turns up; but first... to work on a Screechin' Tyres VEH!

2/3/02
OK... I've finally got around to completing the Bathurst GT. It's on the Ford downloads page if you want it!
There's also a link on the Previews page to my tribute to Matt Lucas and Cremulator's awesome Le Mans track.
Lastly, I've put a small preview image on the Misc. page for the wheel pack.

28/1/02
About time too: Screechin' Tyres is back! (OK: who booed???)
This page is updated and all the others changed. You'll see the downloads have been split
into: Ford, Other cars and Miscellaneous. That implies I've got more stuff coming!

"This week, I shall be mostly releasing Imps." (For any Fast Show fans here in Blighty.)
See the Previews and Other pages. Also on the Previews page are two new Cortina GT images.
Watch this space for more updates soon!

3/12/01
Err... what can I say? Stress at work doesn't help you feel creative, I guess!
Updated the Speedsims link today... watch this space: I hope to produce some more work soon. (He says!)

23/8/01
Aaargh! Almost a month since my last site update: naughty Screech!
Available for download, a new Alan Mann Lotus Cortina and an Animated Wheel upgrade pack,
which covers all my cars. I have updated the preview page by removing any out of date pictures
and adding ones of the Mann car and the 1963 Bathurst winning Cortina GT, which is something
for all the aged Aussies out there, if I can get enough data to finish it. (Even though you
won the Ashes again!)

27/7/01
Sir John Whitmore's 1964 British Touring Lotus Cortina released today.
See Previews and Downloads... blah, blah, blah... you know the score!

23/7/01
No.214 Team Hartwell Imp released today: get it on the downloads page or see a couple of
screenshots on the Previews page. Based on Dave-B's orange/white original.

21/7/01
No.42 Fraser Imp released! Previews on the Previews page and Zip file from the Downloads page.
Thanks again to Dave-B for a great model and permission to mess around with it. :-)

20/7/01
Another Lotus Cortina screenshot on the previews page, but now the car is downloadable! If you don't know
where to look, you don't deserve it. ;-)

19/7/01
New screenshot of the Mk1 Lotus Cortina paint-job, this is about there and will be released shortly.
Find it on the Previews page... durr! Mann Racing version to follow and then we'll see what else
turns up, paintscheme wise.

Sister car to the Fraser Imp should be along soon, as well.

15/7/01
No.34 Fraser Imp released! Thanks to Dave-B for a great model and permission to release my version.
Go to the Downloads page to find it. (If you want it, of course!)

Changed Previews page to a thumbnail style, to speed up loading times.

Added an early screenshot of my new paintjob for the Lotus Cortina to the Previews page.

12/7/01
Updated Fraser Imp screenshot to final paintjob. Should be released this weekend.

10/7/01
First shot of the Alan Fraser Group 5 racing Imp from 1967 on the Previews page.

7/7/01
Started this site today!

I will improve it as and when I have updates and learn how to do all this stuff.
Early screenshot of the Natalie Portman NSX on the Previews page. This was done for a laugh as an answer to
No-Bull and John B. Marine's cars. (Might even finish it one day!)
My Lotus Cortina VEH file pack (V1.0) is on the Download page.

Check the forums at Speedsims for more announcements.
