Cap to 12cm., hemispherical then conical to flattened, at first cinnamon, lubricous, drying honey-yellow and distinctly wrinkled. Stem to 100 x 15mm., dirty-white to pale buff, fibrillose with large pendant, transient ring, base bulbous with white rhizoids. Gills at first grey-white then grey-brown. Spore print cigar-brown; spores elliptical with large germ-pore 9 - 12.5 x 6.5 - 8.5µm. Cheilocystidia clavate to sphaeropedunculate, pleurocystydia similar but larger. On woodship mulch uncommon but increasing. Spring - Autumn.
