Cap to 2.5cm., kidney-shaped, white to cream, ageing ochraceous, margin crenulate. Pileus often attached at the centre. Gills whitish, ageing ochraceous. Spore print red-brown; spores sub-globose, minutely spiny, 6 - 9 x 5 - 7µm. Cheilocystidia polymorphic. Widespread on deciduous wood. Summer - autumn.
