Cap to 5cm., ochraceous-orange, convex, flattening to slightly depressed. Stipe to 65 x 10mm., cylindrical, pale salmon to ochraceous-brown. Gills fairly crowded, slightly decurrent, pink-buff, darker with age. Milk white, mild. Spore print whitish, sub-globose to ellipsoid 6.5 - 9.5 x 5.5 - 7.5µm. Habitat, in broadleaf and coniferous woodland. Frequent, summer - autumn.
