Including the scripts in !ArmTCP.

  1. Assuming you have the latest version of !Boot, you need to open "!Boot.Resources.!Internet.files.PPP" and add a text file called CHAPSecret (or chap-secr if using Sergio Monesi's PPPDriver instead of Acorn's PPP module) which contains the following:
    2. YOUR.ACCOUNT@yourISP.com (space) * (space) yourpassword

    replacing YOUR.ACCOUNT@yourISP.com with your full account name, (space) with a space or tab, and yourpassword with... do I really need to spell it out?
    NOTE: Due to recent changes introduced by Tesconet, you should enter your user ID in all lower case.

  2. Locate !ArmTCP on your hard drive
  3. <Shift> double-click on the !ArmTCP icon, then do the same with !ATCPconfg, then load the file "ISP-Modem" into a text editor.
  4. Place the cursor at the end of the text, and drag in the downloaded script file.
  5. Load up ArmTCP and use the Choices menu item to configure your account. Click here for more detailed instructions.
  6. Note that although usernames are NOT normally case sensitive, if the case is different between your !ArmTCP account and your CHAPsecret (or chap-secr) file you will NOT be able to connect.
