The objectives of the Club shall be the encouragement of bowling and the provision of facilities for such activities.
Season.
The Green shall be open from the beginning of May to the end of September. The exact dates to be decided by the Committee each year.
Membership.
Membership shall be open to all. Applications for membership shall be subject to approval by a majority vote from the Committee.
Officers.
The Officers of the Club shall be the President, the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman, the Secretary, the Treasurer, the Assistant Treasurer, the Club Captain, and the Club Vice-Captain.
Committee.
The Committee shall comprise the above Officers, plus the Team Captains, the Greens Adviser, The Club Competition Organiser, the County Benevolent Warden, the Tournaments Organiser, the Catering Manageress, and up to seven lay members.
Elections.
All Officers and Committee Members shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting and shall hold office until the next Annual General Meeting.
Meetings.
The Annual General Meeting shall be held each year during September.
The Committee shall meet as and when necessary, but not less than six times per year.
A Special General Meeting may be called at any time by the Committee, or by written request to the Secretary by not less than six members, subject to each member of the Club receiving not less than 21 days notice in writing of the meeting, stating the business to be discussed. No other business may be dealt with at such meeting.
Trustees.
Three Trustees shall be elected at an Annual General Meeting and shall hold office for a period of at least three years. They shall be indemnified against all Public Liability and such other risks as may be required for their financial protection. On the dissolution of the Club the Trustees shall apply any assets to the Community Amateur Sports Club's (CASC's) registered Charities or the Sports Governing Body (EBA) approved by members.
Subscriptions and Green Fees.
The Annual Subscription and Green Fees payable shall be agreed at the Annual General Meeting. Annual Subscriptions shall be payable by the 15th October of the preceding year. Failure to pay by that date will incur a penalty of 25% of the Annual Subscription.
Failure to pay the subscription by May 1st will be deemed as resignation from the Club.
Finance.
The Club's Financial Year shall be from September 1st until August 31st the following year.
A Statement of Income and Expenditure shall be prepared by the Treasurer, duly audited, and presented to the Annual General Meeting.
The Auditor, who may be a member of the Club, shall be appointed at the Annual General Meeting.
An Account will be held at the Waveney Valley Branch of Barclays Bank plc., into which account all monies belonging to the Club shall be deposited. Cheques drawn on the account shall be signed by the Treasurer plus one of any other two signatures.
Amendments to the Constitution.
Any amendment to this Constitution must be approved at an Annual General Meeting or an Extraordinary General Meeting, of which 21 days notice shall be given to each member and setting out in full the proposed amendment.
