Bungay A, captained by Peter Nunn, won promotion to Division One of the Beccles League by finishing runners-up in Division 2.

Club Secretary Ian Gosling wins the Beccles and Bungay Journal's Bezant Cup for the second time for his work with the Bowls Club and the Cherry Tree Angling Club.
Richard Brinded became Suffolk EBF Area A 4-wood singles champion.
Roger Bullen's Lowestoft Mens EBA League A team finished as runners-up to Halesworth, but Halesworth beat Bungay in the QuarterFinals of the County League Play-offs.

The Beccles League A team win promotion to Division One for the Beccles League.
2002
Bungay A win the Halesworth Three Wood League for the sixth successive year by winning all their matches. Bungay B win promotion from Division 2.
Bungay lost to Kessingland in the Area Final of the Suffolk Senior Cup.
Bungay reached the semi-finals of the Area Humphrey Benevolent Cup.
Derek Hinsley, Roger Bullen, George Mulcairn and Cyril Moore reached the Suffolk Mens EBA Fours quarterfinals.
Margaret Moore (Singles) and Barbara Wortley (Champion of Champions) reached the EBF Area A Semi-finals that were played at Halesworth.
Richard Brinded reached the Four Wood Singles Area semi-finals held at Kessingland.
The Benacre League A team lost to Halesworth A 99-57 in the final of the Easey Cup held at Sole Bay.
2001
Bungay A win the Halesworth Three Wood League for the fifth successive year.
Bungay beat Halesworth 86-72 at Bungay to win the Lowestoft Area Fours Knockout Cup for the first time.
Bungay B finish runners-up in Section B of the EBA Mens Lowestoft EBA League and gain promotion to the newly formed First Division for 2002.
Terry White reached the quarter-finals of the Suffolk EBA Singles by winning the Lowestoft Area Final.
2000
Bungay win Suffolk EBF Area A Humphrey Benevolent Cup for the first time.
Bungay A win the Halesworth Three Wood League for the fourth successive year and for the 10th time since in was revived in 1979.
