Coast 2 Coast Itinerary

This is a copy of our itinerary for those of us taking part in the coast 2 coast challenge, and of course the parents had copies too!!

Itinerary

Depart from Stevenage on Sunday 27th July 1997 at 8.30am!!
Arrive at Wastwater (Lake District) late afternoon/ early evening.
The journey will include stopping at Robin Hoods Bay to drop cars off.
For those feeling fit and if possible, there will be a pre-coast 2 coast ride warm up over Wrynose and Hardknott Pass. This must be stressed only the fittest may attempt!!!

• Day 1:- St Bees Head - Eskdale - 32 miles - 28th July
• Day 2:- Eskdale - Ambleside - 24 miles - 29th July
• Day 3:- Ambleside - Keld - 53 miles - 30th July
• Day 4:- Keld - Osmotherley - 49 miles - 31st July
• Day 5:- Osmotherley - Robin Hoods Bay - 56 miles - 1st August

Depart from Boggle Hole (Robin Hoods Bay) on Saturday 2nd August when ready.

Very Important Note

The consumption of alcohol is banned on the challenge ride for safety reasons, except one unit of alcohol maybe consumed on Sunday 27th July for a pre-ride good luck drink; Wednesday 3oth July for mid week at the highest pub in England (Tan Hill Pub) and Friday 1st August for a celebration drink!!!!

Attached to the itinerary was a list of the Youth Hostels we were staying at.

One thing I would like to point out, it is all very well making an itinerary but things can change along the way and in more cases than not, they do. So be warned!!!!!!
