Too sore to walk, Aussies at Carhaix, 684km, Wednesday afternoon

" The Australian in question was Trevor King from Melbourne. He finished the ride successfully even though he was in a lot of pain from his injury of, what he thought, torn ligaments in his right leg.

During the ride he was unable to put any weight on this leg. He had to ride sitting in the saddle for 900km. When he returned to Melbourne he discovered he had a broken pelvis!!

When I took this photo they at first appeared to be good mates enjoying the ride. Then Trevor groaned I realised he was in great pain and couldn't walk without the support of his friends.

The poor picture quality comes from mist in the lens of my disposable camera, being carried in my damp pockets. Accidently it gives the scene a touch of "Gallipoli" spirit.
