The rivers with there tributaries create many large lakes like the view in this photo of Vidiex Plage for the enjoyment of a variety of water activities, including, Swimming, Sailing, Padolas, Canoe-Kayak, Fishing.In the distance is barrage de Lavaud , here they have Horse riding, Mini golf and Volleyball. There is a Restaurant/Bar at both . Most lakes have sandy beaches with a life guard, as we do in our swimming baths in England. The surrounding countryside is provided with picnic tables, children can play , or take a leisurely walk round the lake, all this and only ten minutes from "Chataigne" cottage.
