Description:

Take a common dandelion flower and look at it in detail as above. This reveals that what one sees as a single flower is actually a collection of numerous small flowers. Immediately above the base you can see a row of individual ovules, some with embryos within. Higher up, the section of the flowerhead goes through the petals and anthers with pollen clearly visible as tiny spots within.
