There will be a Turret Clock Forum in 2010 at the Headquarters of the British Horological Institute at Upton Hall, Upton, Newark, Notts. Date to be advised

History of the Turret Clock Forum
In December 2007 a joint meeting was organised in London by the British Horological Institute (BHI), The Institute of Conservation (ICON) and the Council for the Care of Churches (CCC).  The object was to promote the awareness of Accredited Conservator Restorers (ACRs) as applicable to turret clock work. About 40 people attended, mostly professional turret clock restorers and diocesan clocks advisers.  There was a strong feeling from those who were there that a follow-up meeting should take place.

The BHI hosted a ‘Turret Clock Forum’ at Upton Hall on 26th September 2009 to enable turret clock professional restorers, clocks advisers, museums, historians, collectors, heritage bodies and other interested parties and persons to hear about and discuss key issues.  A total of 57 people attended who heard nine speakers talk on various topics. There was space for discussion and many joined in.

The second Forum was held on 23rd September 2009, this time it attracted 92 people.
