DNA of Christopher Family Members from County Waterford Ireland.
In 2006 the Internet brought me into contact with Gary Christopher, his cousin Michael. J. Christopher and Michael’s wife Judy. Gary and Michael live in New York USA and like me their Christopher families originate from County Waterford Ireland. Gary and myself undertook a 67-marker DNA test. The outcome was quite a surprise for two guys whose only contact has been through the electronic wizardry of the Internet. We had a 36 out of 37 match on the first 37 markers indicating a tight family tie and 61 out 67 over all. We also took the DNA Haplogroup test - we both come from the same group I1a (i1a) this group originates from the Iberian Peninsular .
