"We have a wooden Scaith, built by Elliotts in (we think) about1979. It has no numbers or name, and we bought it about 20 years ago from a Mr. Papadematri of Maidstone, Kent. He had addedd extra side benches astern of the centre thwart, as he took parties of young people out on the Thames and Medway Rivers whislt working with a local youth project. She is now called "Bumpkin", both because of the yawl rig, and because she sails mostly on the Severn, in Gloucestershire, although we have taken her to Salcombe Harbour and the Helford River."
