"The boat was built by the Elliot brothers in 1977/8 ish. She is rather unusual as she has a large cabin, central cabin door and watertight bulkhead separating the cabin from the cockpit. Doug tells me she was one of several built as a precursor to the Coaster."

"'Lucy Locket' has a sliding hatch and we built at least 3 boats maybe 4 before we introduced the sliding hatch arrangement.(which incidentally was a very tricky bit of woodwork because there are no roof beams and the framework has to be in place before the 2 x 6mm sheets ply laminated roof is fitted.)"
