Photographs of the British Army in India 100 years ago
Collected by W.G. Skinner of the Rifle Brigade
Rifleman, later Acting Sergeant W.G. Skinner of the Rifle Brigade served in India from 1895 to 1904. During this time he collected a number of photographs which he kept in an album. These are reproduced on this website. Unfortunately some of them have faded very badly.
He also had a series of picture postcards of India, click here to view them.
Copies of the photographs can be used by individuals for research and academic purposes, and non-commercial purposes. For any other purpose - including the use of the images for commercial publication - please contact Sepia International Inc. who are the owners of the original photographs.
