The Clinical Service Based within the model of care management, the clinical aims are to meet the assessed needs of the patient. A comprehensive approach is introduced with the patient on admission and it is focused on promoting care within the National Service Framework for Mental Health. Practitioners follow a continuing development programme that aims to assist them deliver effective models of treatment for the patient. All treatment approaches will reflect the requirements set out by the DoH in its guidance, Effective Co-ordination in Mental Health Services (Oct 99) and the guidance on the discharge of mentally disabled people and their continuing care in the community, HSG (94) 27.
