West Country Cycling Weekend ~ 5-6 April
Once again it is the turn of Chippenham Wheelers to run the West Country Cycling Weekend.
There will be a choice of three rides of about 30, 40 and 50 miles. On Sunday a long morning of cycling is
planned (although you are welcome to shorten it if you wish) with a late lunch planned for 2pm back at the main venue.
This will be followed by the presentation of The White Horse Trophy to the club or group with best miles x members.
We intend to finish about 3.30pm.

Isle of Wight ~ 3-5 May
The 62 mile Round the Island Cycle route is a great way to experience the variety and diversity of the Isle
of Wight, from high chalk cliffs to wooded estuaries. The permanently signed route is on quieter roads, with a short section
of surfaced cycleway along the Western Yar near Yarmouth and takes you through much of the rural island. You can follow the
signs on your own at any time but every May Bank Holiday there is an organised Randonnee with check points and feeding
stations.

CTC Heart of England Rally, Meriden ~ 17-18 May
Spend a weekend discovering the Warwickshire lanes with social events, village hall lunch and Cyclists' Memorial service.

CTC Birthday Rides ~ 2-9 August
The Birthday Rides are a cross between cycle touring and a family summer holiday. In 2008 this week-long festival is
coming to Moreton in Marsh in the heart of the Cotswolds in glorious Gloucestershire. Top class accommodation at the Fire Service College one mile
from the town centre or camping. Audax, touring and social events for all ages and abilities, and the annual
CTC Birthday Tea.

Semaine Federale Internationale de Cyclotourisme
Saumur, Loire Valley ~ 3-10 August
The French Cycling Federation's annual cycling rally. Expect 12,000 to 15,000 cyclists to turn up for this frenzy of cycling, eating, partying and lycra. Daily on road (38 to 162 km) and off road (15 to 68 km) options.
