Items are arranged chronologically by date of publcation
within the following categories.
- General books contain substantial
text about the general history and operation of the
Railway.
- Pictorial guides contain
principally illustrations of the Railway, usually with
limited text.
- Timetable booklets contain
current timetable for year of publication, usually with
text and illustrations.
- Specific topics includes books
about specific aspects of the Railway's history or
operation, e.g. locomotives.
- Other books about Kent and Romney
Marsh railways, narrow gauge and miniature railways,
steam railways.
For books which are still in print I have added links to
possible suppliers, including RHDR
shops, Amazon.co.uk
and the Transport
Diversions Emporium. You may find second hand copies of older
books for sale at AddALL or BookFinder.com. Bookstalls
at model railway fairs and similar events are also a good source.
