The year 2000 - part two

Ah summer! This summer Cicely took her first foreign tour and found it most agreeable. The locals were very friendly and she even deigned to speak a few words of French, mostly connected with ice cream or chips. Tents and swimming pools proved a big hit as did carousels. Carousels! The merest mention of the word is enough to start Dad twitching, Cicely should have been appointed official carousel tester for the Vendee region.
