Cellii  This is rather a rare book, with copies surviving in the Herzog August Bibliothek at Wolfenbüttel and in  the Würtembergische Landesbibliothek at Stuttgart, and an (incomplete?) copy at the University of Uppsala.  It consists of 110 small copper plates engraved by Andreae and a brief accompanying text.  The plates illustrate the material covered in a mathematical seminar, divided into 11 sections. Andreae, J.V. ['Andreas de Valentia'] (1616) Turbo, sive moleste et frustra per cuncta divagans ingenium. In Theatrum productum. Strassburg ['Helicone, juxta Parnassum'] A comedy in five acts in which Turbo, a wealthy young man, throws himself into one folly after another. He is accompanied throughout by the worldly-wise Harlequin who provides a cynical commentary.  Between the five acts of the play there are four interludes, each of which explores a more general theme. • Christianopolis: An Ideal State of the 17th Century (trans.) F.E. Held. New York, Oxford University Press (1916) The first English version of the text, sadly marred by errors and omissions.   
• Christianopolis: Latin u. Deutsch, eingeleitet und herausgegeben Richard van Dülmen. Stuttgart, Calwer Verlag (1971) Combines a transcription of the 1619 Latin edition with the 1741 German edition of Georgi. While obvious misprints in the Latin have been silently corrected, the German of Georgi has been modernised. There is a concise but helpful introduction by van Dülmen, and brief biographical notes at the end.

• Descrizione della Repubblica di Cristianopoli, e altri scritti Italian trans. Enrico de Mas  Naples, Guida (1983) A valuable Italian translation with an extensive introduction which emphasises Andreae's connection with Campanella; the appendix includes Italian translations of Imago and Dextera porrecta, with four letters from or to Andreae, and an Italian translation of the Hartlib-Plattes Macaria.   
• J.V. Andreæ: Christianopolis (trans.) E.H. Thompson. International Archives of the History of Ideas, Kluwer Academic Press (1999) This new translation aims to clarify Andreae's elliptical Latin by for the first time  identifying parallel passages, allusions and sources for his ideas, and by linking Christianopolis with Andreae's other work as satirist, dramatist, poet and mathematician. A new model of his revision of ideas drawn from Campanella is put forward, and the politico-economic principles embodied in the text are explored. The translation should be of interest to students of the history of utopian ideas, and the history of economic thought. Details of this edition
