Maserati Club Concours 2001

This year's Maserati Club Concours D'Elegance was held in the splendid surroundings of Stanford Hall, near Lutterworth in Leicestershire.

The weather was typical for an English summer's day, it rained. This did not, however, deter members from attending and there was an excellent array of Maseratis of all ages, from a beautiful 3500GT Spyder of the Fifties to the brutish Shamal of the Nineties.

The poor weather had members out with their buckets and sponges preparing their cars for the Concours. This turned out to be a somewhat fruitless task, as for the best part of the morning, intermittent drizzle meant that the drying process was an extremely loooooong one!

Thankfully the sun made an appearance at midday and the judges were able to inspect the cars in comfort and make what I am sure everybody agrees was the right choice.

It was great meeting the enthusiasts who have visited this web site, especially those who have contributed to its content.

But enough talk, let's look at some of the cars on display.
