Essex County Fencing Union Website

Essex County Fencing Union administers the sport in the county and is part of the Eastern Region of the British Fencing Association (BFA). One of the benefits of BFA affiliation is a clubs membership to a County Union and so the ECFU can best be described as a union of the BFA affiliated clubs in Essex. The county is populated with a wealth of fencing clubs extending from the eastern suburbs of London to the Essex coast in the east.

Results - Here you can access the results of county fencers competing in our championships and an archive will be added in due course.

Competitions - Details of the county championships are held here with links to entry forms and to results. Currently the county runs senior foil, epee and sabre events, both individual and team, and junior foil competitions.

Junior Page - This page is specifically for the younger fencers in the county and will report on junior events and news.

About Fencing - This page will give details about the sport and is aimed at the new fencer. There will be information on the weapoms, how to get started and general information on the sport

Coaching - A very important aspect to any sport, here you will be able to find details how to get started and when and where courses are being held.

Clubs - From this page you can find the nearest club to you. From the links you can find the basic details of the club and there are links to the club's own websites. We try to keep thes edetails up to day and would request clubs to keep us up dates of any changes
