St. Columba's Kirk

This historic kirk is now the parish church of Burntisland.  The unusual design owes its origins to the Dutch influences on this sea-fairing town.  The internal architecture is also rather special and well worth a visit.

The kirk was the first post-reformation church to be built in Scotland and, a further claim to fame, the kirk was where the decision was made to produce the James VI bible.
