The land on which the cottage is built was the first piece of land sold for money in the district. The price was, you've guessed it, fourpence.
When Fourpenny was purchased by Sheila & Ted Board in 1980, it was not more than a derelict shell as you can see from the pictures opposite.
After a lot of blood, sweat and tears we got a result, as you can see from the picture opposite.
