St John Ambulance

Streatham & Norbury Division

London (Prince of Wales's District)

St. John Ambulance is a world wide organisation voluntary first aid organisation. In the United Kingdom, we are often in the public eye at major and minor events providing First Aid resources to the public. Behind the scenes, they provide training in First Aid to the public and maintain the St John Opthalmic Hospital in Jerulsalem.

Our Division currently has about 40 members who provide first aid and nursing services to the community. We have two fully equipped ambulances; one for patient transport to and from hospital, social clubs, etc. and an emergency ambulance equipped to deal with all types of accidents and emergencies. We have also recently purchased a defibrillator (for restoring a normal heart beat).

The adult division is open to anyone aged 16 - 65 years of age. Cadets are for children aged 10 - 16 years. Unfortunately we do not have a Badger Set at present (for children aged 6 - 9 years).
