NORTH EAST CHAMPIONSHIPS

We apologise for the problems experienced by some competitors in entering the 2003 NE championsips. The organisers tried very hard to collate information on qualifiers, but had little response from many of the competitions who held qualifiers. As a result, the qualifiers for the 2004 North East Championships will all take place at Gordon dressage competitions. The qualifiers at present are at the competitions in October, November, December, March and April. The 2nd class at each level will be the qualifier.

GORDON DRESSAGE GROUP NEEDS YOU!

As a result of the number and quality of competitions being run this year, and the extensive and varied training offered, the pool of dressage group funds held in the past has disappeared. THEREFORE in order for the club to continue to run in this manner we need the support of our members NOW, whether financially or in some other way. PLEASE,PLEASE consider what you can do to help. eg £10 will provide the rosettes for one class £20 - £30 will cover the affiliated prize money for a class. Remember every little helps If you can help in some way, please contact Gillian Peters, (01358 742805) or email gillian.m.peters@tesco.net.

GDG WINTER SERIES

The entry fees for the above competitions have unfortunately had to increase this year, due to the financial difficulties the club is presently experiencing (see above). However for each of the competitions we are bringing up 2 highly experienced and qualified judges from England who will judge all the classes. This should benefit both competitors and trainee judges alike.

Lecture Demo

The Group are organising a lecture/demo with Tim Downes and Richard Hope at Grove Riding Centre on November 28th at 7pm, entitled "Contact and the Scales of Training". Tickets will be available at the door, priced £10 for members and £12 for non-members. There will also be a lecture/demo with Donald Kear on "Gymnastic Training for the dressage horse", again at grove in early 2004 (date to be confirmed). Tickets will again be £10 for members and £12 for non-members
