The content of this web site relates to the stage race promoted by Fife Century Road Club that began in 1977 and was run continuosly for 24 years. From the beginning organiser Dennis Speight had the idea to bring top class competitive cycle racing to Fife.
 It was a local race that developed into an international event. Some features of the course and episodes in the event are now local legend.
