From the M60From the Clockwise direction (Stockport): Take Junction 5 the A5103 to Manchester City Centre. *** (See below).
From the Anti-clockwise direction (Leeds): Take Junction 7/8 and follow the A56 to Manchester City Centre/Stretford, through one roundabout and a set of pedestrian lights to the next traffic lights. Turn right and follow the A5145 to Chorlton. After ¾ mile, take the left fork at the lights, A6010 to Chorlton. Continue straight on for about 1½ miles, through several sets of lights until you come to the traffic lights with the Hindu Temple on the left. Go through these lights, and the next lights, and turn right into the Centre (Whalley Range High School) at the next pedestrian lights.
From the South/West Aim for the M56 Northbound, and look for Junction 3 where the road becomes the A5103 and follow the signs to Manchester City Centre. *** (See below).
***Travel for about 3 miles on the dual carriageway, passing the Hough End playing fields (large board indicates this) on the left. Go through the next set of lights, over the brow to the next lights and turn left into Wilbraham Road. The Centre is about 100 metres on the left.

- Basketball Hall with 3 International-size basketball courts, sprung wooden floor.
- 10 x 5-a-side outdoor football pitches.
- Aerobics area.
- Fitness suite, physiotherapy facilities.
- Bar/Conference facilities.
- Total cost £2.1million.
- GMCB contribution of £250,000 donated by John Amaechi.
- Completely controlled by Greater Manchester Community Basketball.
- Operates 7 days per week.
- All National League games and practices are held there.
- Manchester Magic play all their home games there.
- The Club runs a full range of community basketball activities - playing in leagues, coaching sessions, courses for referees, coaches and table officials.
- All ages catered for, Primary Schools to adults.
- At peak use, 2500 youngsters use the Hall weekly.
- Started September 2002 - 2004.
- We aim to bring the best basketball talent from all over England to join the Academy.
- Re-started in 2008.

BIG TOURNAMENT
We are hosting the Greater Manchester Tournaments this weekend (20/21 June) at the Amaechi Basketball Centre. All the 10 Boroughs of Manchester will compete, with the Under 15 Boys taking place on Saturday 20 June (2:00pm - 6:00pm) and the Under 17 Boys on Sunday 21 June (2:00pm to 6:00pm).
