A great future is forecast for Georgia.

TWO CHAMPIONSHIPS AT THE FINAL FOURS
This weekend at Cosford, the RAF again ran the Final Four Competitions for all the Age-Group competitions.
The Magic/Mystics had teams in all 4 of the competitions that they have entered. No other Club had more than 2 teams playing at Cosford. We were trying to retain 3 titles from last year - Under 14 Girls, Under 16 Boys and Under 18 Boys and also attempting to win the Under 16 Girls for the first time. Unfortunately, we only managed to win 2, the Under 14 Girls and the Under 18 Boys, but all teams played very well and we congratulate the winners.
Georgia Jones was awarded the Girls Under 14 MVP, and Joe Sullivan was awarded the Boys Under 18 MVP. Well done!

CUP FINALS DAY AT THE AMAECHI BASKETBALL CENTRE
We were privileged to be asked to host the 2004 Cup Finals for Under 16 and Under 18 Boys and Girls at our Centre.
| UNDER
16 BOYS - NATIONAL CHAMPIONS |
| Manchester
99 - 55 Solent |
Playing against a spirited Solent team, the Under 16 Boys were inspired by an outstanding performance by 6' 6'' Matthew Williams who hit 22 from 25 shots in the Final to tally 47 points. Unselfish play by his teammates ensured that he was given the ball often and in the right position. This was the fourth successive win for Manchester Cadets in the Final and bodes well for the future of the Club.
| UNDER
16 GIRLS - SO NEAR TO VICTORY |
| Manchester
74 - 79 Ellesmere Port |
Ellesmere Port The traditionally strong Ellesmere Port looked like being runaway winners after opening a 27-point lead in the second half. However, the Manchester Girls staged a stirring comeback and just ran out of time when a victory seemed possible. Even great performances by Georgia Jones (23 points) and Jessica Tensel (24 points) just failed to secure the win.
| UNDER
18 BOYS - EAST LONDON PREVAIL |
| Manchester
53 - 57 East London |
A spirited East London outfit took the initiative early in the game and just would not let go. The Manchester boys were knocked out of their stride and found it difficult to recover from a poor start. Many congratulations to the East London boys who fully deserved their victory.
A large crowd had enjoyed a feast of good Junior Basketball and the Centre had once again proved its excellence as a venue.
