Working Hero is a dynamic new training programme that empowers people within organisations to embrace change. It is a programme that unlocks a new way to create change in the workplace, by giving direction and motivation that transforms individuals, teams and whole companies.
So how does it do that? Working Hero uses film clips and creative learning activities thus enabling people to experience change as an adventure rather than a threat. Each participant has the potential to be a "hero" embarking on a quest that will transform the way they view and act in their world of work.
Working Hero has two main tools: The Hero's Map of Achievement (HMA) is a ten-stage outline that provides an effective map for the journey of change. This journey forms the plotline of many films that follow the traditional pattern of the hero's quest in the world's great stories. By understanding how different characters in films face up to the challenge of change and overcome problems, we can assess our own situations, envisage the change we want, and find the resources to make it happen.
Working Hero Character Roles (WHCR) is a personality profiling system based on the Enneagram (Nine Personality Types) a validated psychological method that goes one step further than other profiling systems. The Character Roles, illustrated with film scenes, help people understand their dominant personality type as well as their motivations and those of others in their world. Awareness of one's dominant style frees individuals and teams to consider the communication and interpersonal issues arising through change.
