Centenary Meeting of the
OLD CHELTONIAN LODGE No: 3223
On Tuesday 8th May 2007 at
Mark Masons’ Hall

The Centenary Meeting was held on 8th May 2007 at Mark
Masons’ Hall, 86 St James’s Street, London, commencing at 3pm. After the
dispensation had been read, and the Lodge opened, W.Bro M.J.Green, PJGD, was
installed as Worshipful Master.
The Lodge was called off, and photographs were taken of all those
present, and of the members of the Lodge who were attended. (Click here for

The Lodge was called on at 5.30pm. The Metropolitain DGDC W.Bro S
Duckworth, PAGDC, arranged a procession, and RW Bro Russell John Race, Deputy
Metropolitain Grand Master entered the Lodge and was received with acclamation.
W.Bro H.F.Waddy, PGStd, gave an address about the history of the Lodge,
and the frustrations and fascinations involved in compiling it. (Click here to read

The Centenary Warrant was then read by W.Bro A.Henderson, MG Sec, and presented
to the Worshipful Master by RW Bro Race.
An oration by the Lodge Chaplain, Bro D.McCready, was then attended to.

The collection of alms amounted to £624.
The first verse of the National Anthem was sung, and the Lodge closed.

A banquet was held at the Royal Overseas League, St James’s, the menu
consisted of:

with a selection of vegetables

Coffee and Petit Fours
The total attendance
was 93. The cost per attendee was £70.
