A typical photograph of an older dog who,
unfortunately, is beginning to show his age.

A portrait of the same dog "lifted" a little!

Heather Cary has, over nearly 25 years gained a lot of experience in painting many different breed of animals, consequently she pays great attention to the individual characteristics of each subject. She laughingly explains that the finished painting my not depict the breed standard if the sitter was not of that standard in the first place! Older animals can sometimes present a problem in that they may be, by the time they are painted, looking a bit 'saggy' as Heather puts it. While she will do her best to portray the animals in as flattering light as possible, she will not change the overall look, as to do that would alter the essential essence of the individual subject.

The whole object is to produce a professional and accurate portrait that will provide lasting pleasure for the owner.
